Nhs Services
We can dispense all NHS prescriptions.
We keep an extensive stock of prescription medicines and use various fast and efficient wholesalers to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly.
Our pharmacists are always on hand to answer any questions or concerns that you may have about any medication you are taking. Please do not hesitate to ask if you are unsure of the dosage of your medication or if you are concerned about any potential side effects.
Remember your pharmacist is a medical professional who can give you advice about your medication, discreetly and in total confidence.
Are you entitled to free prescriptions?
You can get free NHS prescriptions if, at the time the prescription is dispensed, you:

are under 16
are 16-18 and in full-time education
are pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months and have a valid maternity exemption certificate

Healthy Living Pharmacy
So what is a Healthy living pharmacy (HLP)?
HLP’s with the support of the Local Area Team provide a range of services such as smoking cessation, weight management, alcohol intervention and medicine use reviews to support and encourage healthier lifestyles.
We are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles by providing proactive advice, support and services. Our Healthy living champions have shown that we really can make a difference by engaging with people in discussing sustainable lifestyle options.
You are also entitled to free prescriptions if you or your partner
(including civil partners) are named on, or are entitled to, an NHS tax credit exemption certificate or a valid HC2 certificate, or you receive either:
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
Income-related Employment & Support Allowance
You can only use the PPC for your own NHS prescriptions. The PPC will start from the date of your application or phone call unless you request a different start date.
If you are not entitled to free prescriptions and you think you will have to pay for four or more prescriptions in three months, or 13 or more items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC).
You can request a start date of up to one month earlier or one month later than the date of your application or phone call.
Electronic Prescription Service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS Service which allows your GP to safely and securely send your prescription electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.
What does this mean for you?
You will now not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, your GP will send it electronically to the pharmacy that you choose, saving you time.
You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
You may not have to wait long at the pharmacy anymore as there will be time for your repeat prescriptions to be ready before you arrive.
How to nominate us
It is very simple to nominate us to receive your electronic prescriptions.
Simply visit us, call us, send us an email stating that you wish for us to be your nominated pharmacy, or just tell your surgery that you would like them to send your prescriptions electronically to us.

For the first time, we will provide you with some extra help and advice about this new medicine through a FREE service called the New Medicine Service (NMS).
